Welcome Centre Progress

Our volunteers have been working incredibly hard to build our new Welcome Centre building – this space will be where you buy tickets and chat with our friendly team. It’ll also feature toilets, a gift shop and hot drinks to buy!

The site is coming together #brickbybrick and we wanted to take the chance to thank our volunteers for the progress so far and give you a sneak peak of what it’s all going to look like.

The Reception building will feature:

  • Tickets – to get started on your day out buy your tickets here or have digital ones checked
  • Event booking – ask our team which they recommend most!
  • Gift shop – take home a souvenir
  • Hot drinks for sale
  • Staff room – meet the team!
  • Volunteer Storage
  • Toilets
  • Disabled Toilet
  • Baby Change

The building has been built entirely by volunteers, sharing their experience and skills from electricians to engineers. This has been built in Winter – the team have faced frost and howling wind (there’s a reason the tour had to be redubbed…), so we think they’ve earned the hot drinks we’ll be able to offer volunteers when it’s up and running! We can’t wait to welcome you to the finished Welcome Centre!
